The weekend of April 8-9, 2016 kicked off the first Ultimate VIP Experience for two lucky members of the Official Members Club and their guests. Upon notifying the winners, their excitement was obvious.  This was going to be a “Once in a Lifetime” day featuring a ride around Texas Motor Speedway in the pace car, attendance of the driver’s meeting, and concluding with a visit to Victory Lane; all with a HOT Pass giving them access to the pits and garages during practice and race time.

Taking a ride around the 1.5 mile track with the lucky winners to start the day, gave the opportunity to experience going into the turns with 24 degrees of banking at speeds only dreamed of.  The straight-aways, with only 5 degrees of banking, lend itself to many “crashes” during race time at Texas Motor Speedway. As passengers, we saw why. Though we were only one car, at a speed less than the track average speed of 188 mph, those 40 drivers definitely had their work cut out for them.

Attending the Driver’s Meeting is a mandatory part of the driver’s race day itinerary, and our members were able to experience as well as  learn about safety , reiteration of specific rules, and join the drivers and their crew chiefs in providing a standing ovation for the members of the United States Military and Armed Forces that were honored.

During the race, the lucky winners were able to view the race from the pits, watch perfectly choreographed pit stops as they happened, and see Texas Motor Speedway unlike they ever have before.  One winner Tim R. said that in addition to making his friend’s jealous, he was able to score a tear off from Kyle Larson’s car that “still has the dead bugs on it!” That window tear is just one priceless memory from an unforgettable day.

Despite their favorite drivers (race winner: Kyle Busch) not being able to take the checkered flag first, victory lane was clearly a highlight of the day.  Jackie G., long time Jimmie Johnson fan, said “Victory Lane was the coolest part of the day!” Together, we experienced the “Bigger in Texas” feel that Victory Lane at Texas Motor Speedway clearly elicits featuring flames, confetti in the shape of the Texas, cowboy hats, 6-shooters, and the ever popular champagne shower.

The Ultimate VIP Experience at the Duck Commander 500 was truly a day that the winners will never forget. Up next is the Coke 600, members of the Official NASCAR Members Club can enter to win their own Ultimate VIP Experience by using code “VIP2016” on all purchases made on our Exclusive Member Online Storefront (www.onmc.com/store) from now until May 9,2016.
